We’re here! we have arrived in  rainy, cloudy NYC.

After starting our journeys almost 24 hours before, we finally fell into our bunkbeds at midnight (local time).

We dont mind sharing with you that being here has made the enormity of the task all the more real. Dont worry, we’re no less serious about getting it done; but without the Atlantic ocean seperating us it seems a lot bigger. But everything is bigger here. so maybe we’ll just take bigger steps.

One day at a time is how we plan to tackle it. Looking at it any other way would probably drive us insane.

We’ve got our first week fully planned out: places to go, sights to see, family and friends to meet.

Thank you so much to all of you who have sent us messages of support, and to those of you who have donated to the charities in recent weeks.

We’re off to explore the city for the day.
